It has been slightly remodeled and repaired but it is still there. It now belongs to the estate of the late M. Kosidoy who died in Winnipeg a few years ago. Next is the house of retired German named Jacob Walters, very religious and superstitious, large family, source of income not known. Next is the general store of William Jansen. He lived upstairs. His son Dave operated a general store in Ebenezer in recent years. Next is the small house of Peter Winberg. Yorkton's first shoemaker. His daughter Mrs. J. Meekma still lives on Tupper Ave., another daughter Mrs. S. Matheson on Haultain Ave. Mr. Winberg's shoemakers shop was near the present location of Firestone store. To the east of the Winberg house can be seen Betts Livery barn on the east side of First ave.
