Written on the bottom: "Biggar, Sask." and "1913". Photograph has yellowed and it has many stains across it; three tape marks can be found on the back bottom of photograph. A one cent postage stamp and black ink stamp can be found on the top right corner on back of photograph.

Written on the back in pencil: "Mrs. W.H.Dean White Bear. Sask" and "Biggar Box 65 March 9/4 My Dear Fanney, I recieved you card gold to hear from you, sorry I have not got time to write a long letter I don't got much time as I have got boarders and play so much cards. I wish you were here to join us, We are going to a big dance the 17. have has a dance very friday all winter We never mist! No more homestead for me for five year i bet. Dorothy is going to write to you some day, she is goin to school take a look of our Big Biggar with Love Y.D."
