Members of the Beaver-Meridian baseball team, a team made up of players from North Battleford and Lloydminster. Also pictured is Keith Erne of North Battleford, vice-president of the team, Lloydminster mayor Vern Miner, North Battleford mayor Jim Maher and Slim Thorpe, president of the ball club. The team will compete in the Western Canada Baseball League. Included is an image of Mrs. Abbott, wife of the late Jack Abbott, receiving a bouquet of roses and a plaque from "Jeep" George, in recognition of the work her late husband did for hockey and baseball in the North Battleford area.
