Head and shoulders image of Dr. Whit Firor, senior cardiovascular surgeon and associate professor of surgery, Department of Medicine.
Bio/Historical Note: Dr. Whitmer Bennett Firor Jr. was born on 6 January 1932 in Baltimore, Maryland. He served as surgeon at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Dr. Firor moved to Saskatoon in 1966 to join the staff of University Hospital, University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Firor was a professor of Medicine (Cardiology) for 28 years. He was Medical Director of the Exercise Laboratory and Exercise Program, among other duties in the College. Dr. Firor died suddenly on 28 January 1995 in Saskatoon.
