Conlin (second from right) was presented with a mounted school bell when the Swift Current Teachers' Association named her the city's Jubilee Teacher. The presentation was made by K. S. Lewis, principal of Central School. Shown at left in the photo are Swift Current Sun Editor Dave Belbeck and his wife Alice, both of whom were 1913 students of Mrs. Conlin's. In an introduction entitled '50 Years Behind the Desk', Mr. Lewis outlined Mrs. Conlin's work in Swift Current since her arrival there from Ontario. Mrs. Conlin, who superannuated in 1947 but never 'retired' received a standing tribute from 300 persons in attendance."
