Biografie
Arthur James (A.J.) Osment was an Englishman living in Brockville, Ontario, who was brought to Indian Head by Major W. R. Bell to manage the design and construction of buildings on the Bell Farm (Qu'Appelle Valley Farming Company). He started the region's first brick-making plant near Katepwa - later sold to Clem Peltier (Pelletier) and designed an built many buildings in Indian Head, including the Grand Theatre (Opera House, Auditorium) and the adjacent apartments.

One rolled paper with the architectural drawings for the Sunny South School 161 on it. It has an attached sheet with an inscription that details and names those responsible for funding, building and running the new school. The stone schoolhouse, built according to Osment's plans, was located on the southeast corner of NW-16-17-13-W2. The school closed in 1961.

Architectural drawing of Sunny South school drawn by A. J .Osment and has an inscription attached that details those responsible for building funding and administration of the school. The Sunny South school (#161) was a stone schoolhouse. built according to Osment's plans, and was located on the southeast corner of NW-16-17-13-W2 on land donated by Thomas E. Donnelly Jr. - later to be Indian Head's mayor. The school closed in 1961 (see IH History Book pp 101-103; 351).
