The Saskatchewan Bulletin, June, 1968, p. 1; "STF president Larry Lozinski breaks the first sod on the site of the new Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation building. With him are the other members of the Building committee: STF general secretary Stirling McDowell; assistant secretary Bruce Wiggins; and past president, Joseph Brown. Also on the building committee but missing from the picture is STF vice-president, Gordon Merryfield. The official sod turning ceremony took place on June 1st."
