Administrative history
Round Lake Pastoral Charge was formed as a new United Church charge in 1925, as part of Qu'Appelle Presbytery. As of 1958, appointments included Kahkewistahaw, Sakimay, and Ochapawace. By 1984, Cowessess has also been added. According to United Church Year Books, Cowessess and Ochapawace were no longer considered preaching places, ca.1989. As of February 24, 2017, Round Lake Pastoral Charge was officially closed.
Custodial history
Original provenance for many of the records in the fonds is unclear. Initial items were transferred to the archives between 1925 and 1986. Additions were received by Saskatchewan Conference archives around 2009.

Arrangement
Original order for many of these records is unclear. Items under A.381.XV were arranged and listed as local church records sometime before 1990 and those under A.1094.XV.SC were added around 2009. The fonds was created in 2021, to include records previously listed and any new accruals.
