In the program for the official opening of the Orange Home's recreation hall / gymnasium, page 5 listed guests of honour, including Lt-Gov W.J. Patterson, Premier T.C. (Tommy) Douglas, Mayor E.V. (Ted) McCurdy and six high-ranking officials of the Orange Lodge (T.E. Clancy, Mrs. E. Erskine, Hugh Wallace, Rev. Canon H.E. Ashmore, Rev. T.L. Parker, Mrs W.M. Myers. Page 6 lists the officers of the Orange benevolent Society - including President Vaughn Hayes (after whom Hayes Haven was named - Hayes Haven is located where the Orange Home's girls' residence was). Page 7 gives a few highlights of the Orange Home's history since 1923. The opening marked the 30th Anniversary of the Orange Home. Photos of the event are in the Janice McBain Fonds (JMF).
