Bio/Historical Note: Dr. Koravangattu Sankaran served as a neonatologist and pediatric intensivist in Neonatology, Department of Pediatric Medicine. He is director of Neonatology and Neonatal Perinatal Research. Dr. Sankaran directed and coordinated the Neonatal Perinatal residency training program. He has over 150 peer reviewed publications and over 200 abstract published in proceedings and presented in meetings. Dr. Sankaran is a founding member of the Canadian Neonatal Network where his research interests include multi-centered randomized clinical trials, knowledge transfer, evidence-based practice in neonatology and quality improvement, sudden infant death syndrome, and neonatal sepsis. Dr. Sankaran is Professor Emeritus in Neonatology (2021).
