Bio/Historical Note: Peter Loptson received his BA from York University, Canada, and his MA and PhD from the University of Pittsburgh. He taught at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, and subsequently at the University of Guelph, Canada, where he was Department Chair from 1998 to 2003. He served as co-editor of Dialogue and Hume Studies, each for five-year spans. He is the author of four books and the editor of three, the most recent being an edition of Leibnizâe(tm)s metaphysical writings, in addition to having published a number of articles focusing on classics and philosophy. He retired from the University of Guelph in 2014.
