Peter MacKinnon, University President, welcomes His Excellency Mei Ping, Ambassador to Canada of the People's Republic of China, during a meeting in the Agriculture Building on June 9. The ambassador was on a visit through Regina, Saskatoon and Winnipeg, and stopped in to the University to meet MacKinnon, Agriculture Dean Ernie Barber, as well as Dr. Bob Tyler and Dr. Phyllis Shand in Applied Microbiology and Food Science. The Ambassador and his delegation were most interested in agricultural matters, and from the U of S went on to visit the Food Pilot Plant and then a working grain and livestock farm near Dundurn.
