With the girls decked out in pinafores and the boys in suspenders, they worked from turn-of-the-century materials, wrote on slates, and some - like the boy in the corner, background, got a taste of discipline, c. 1900. While many youngsters visit the old school, this adventure had special meaning: The stone building, now 100 years old, was the original Victoria school - and staff and students are celebrating the centenary."
