Administrative records of St. Mary's Province of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, a Roman Catholic religious congregation of priests and brothers founded in France in 1816. St. Mary's was formed as a separate province in 1926 to minister to the German and (until the formation of Assumption Province in the 1950s) Polish-speaking Catholics of western Canada. The Oblates of St. Mary's Province have also served in English-speaking parishes in Saskatchewan and Alberta. The OMI/SMP Archives' holdings include records related to the Oblate priests and brothers of St. Mary's Province and their work in the parishes, schools, colleges and missions of western and northern Canada. The holdings also include publications, photographs, building plans, audiotapes and videotapes.
