The North American Lumber and Supply Company Ltd., today is known as the North American Lumber Ltd. has been in business in Biggar since the fall of 1908. Its first location was on First Ave. In about 1922 it moved to the east side of the three hundred block on Main Street and its current location is 805 Main Street. Mr. Frank Hopkins came to Biggar on October 19th, 1908 to manage the business. (Sources: Biggar World, August 19, 1909, pages 3 & 5).
