Nik Semenoff demonstrates printmaking in a class offered by Extension.
Bio/Historical Note: Nik Semenoff is a well-known researcher, artist, teacher and inventor. He is likely best known for his cutting-edge, original research into safer printmaking processes that have placed the University of Saskatchewan in the forefront of non-toxic printmaking research and education. Semenoff invented several processes for making prints, in particular the “waterless lithographic process,” high resolution screen printing and specialized inks that made major contributions to his discipline. The techniques and materials he developed have made printmaking safer and less expensive. Semenoff began working at the U of S Extension Division as an artist and media specialist in 1967, moving to the Department of Art and Art History in 1987.
