Rows of tents and horses at ‘Sewell Camp’, later known as Camp Hughes Military Training Site, located 10 kms west of Carberry, MB. In 1994 the site was formally recognized/listed in the Canadian Register of Historic Places.

Folded rectangle of paper on the outside is the basics of the deal and the the inside folds out into a large certificate. The certificate is legal confirmation of of deal in which the British government gave the Canadian Pacific Railway land in Manitoba to build its railway on. The certificate is dated 1905 but it says the deal actually took place back in 1899.

H.D. "Howdy" McPhail Photograph Collection
This collection includes Howdy McPhail’s aerial photographs, predominantly of individual farms and views of towns and cities. Some images are of specific landmarks, scenic views, or fauna. All images are identified and a majority are dated. A second accrual contains examples of printed calendars and postcards that were sold by McPhail, as well as some correspondence and other business documentation. Images used in an exhibition curated by Helen Marzolf were added in 2018. Further accruals of correspondence, order forms, negatives and prints were interfiled in Series B.

The fonds consists of records created by Rev. John Gregorash, during his time as an ordained minister in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba. Contents are primarily a minister's register, with records of baptisms and marriages performed at: Dauphin, Keld, Gonor, Sifton, Lanuke, and Winnipeg (Manitoba); Musidora, Two Hills, Myrnam, Innisfree, Naughton Glen, Irma, Andrew, Wattsford, Calgary (Alberta); as well as Canora, Moose Jaw, Young, Wakaw, Prince Albert, Kamsack, Glen Elder, Gorlitz, Norquay, Preeceville, Rhein, Hawarden, Hyas, Kelvington, Fort San, Smiley, Biggar (Saskatchewan) and various other locations.
