Bio/Historical Note: Laurie Craig Tollefson (BSc 75, MSc 85 Soil Science) has had a long career in irrigation development with PFRA and including many years as the manager of the Canada Saskatchewan Irrigation Diversification Centre (CSIDC) at Outlook, Saskatchewan. He was honoured by the town of Outlook with the naming of ‘Tollefson Drive’ upon retirement in 2020. Tollefson was awarded a Distinguished Agrologist Award (2009); for Outstanding Contribution to the Management of the National Water Quality and Availability Management (NAWQAM) Project, Canadian and Egyptian governments (2007); and the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Medal (2013). He is currently vice president of the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (2022).
