Geschiedenis
Edna Jaques was born in Collingwood, Ontario on January 17, 1891. The family moved to Briercrest in 1902. After finishing her education, she moved to Calgary where she published a response to “In Flanders Fields”, which was read at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Washington, D.C. She married Moose Javian farmer William Ernest Jamieson in 1921 and moved to a farm near Prince Albert. They had one daughter together. She published her first major book “My Kitchen Window” in 1950 with the help of friend Nellie McClung. She became a popular public speaker and toured across Canada.
She died in Toronto on September 13, 1978.
