Likely a group photo of the students of Collegiate School. Walter C. Murray, future University of Saskatchewan president, enrolled in the school in January 1882; at the time, it was "the elite school in New Brunswick," preparing students "in preparation for success in university and leadership in society....through a rigorous training in classics with an accompanying program in character-building." [The Prairie Builder, p. 16] Walter Murray, about 16 years old, seated in middle row, second from left.
