Head and shoulders image of Dr. Rob Pywell, Physics.

Bio/Historical Note: Dr. Robert Pywell earned a BSc (Hons.) from the University of Melbourne (1975) and a PhD from the University of Melbourne (1981). He joined the University of Saskatchewan and by 1997-1998 was acting head of the Department of Physics and Engineering Physics and he was elected head of the department for two terms between 2001-2007. Dr. Pywell was a member of the University Council for 2004-2007 and was chair of the Council committee on Research, Scholarly and Artistic Work for 2005-2007. He is a member of the Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP) and the American Physical Society (APS). Dr. Pywell was provincial coordinator for the CAP High School Prize Exam for the years 1994-1997 and 2001. He became a professional physicist in 2003. Dr. Pywell was awarded the USSU Teaching Excellence Award in 2008.
