Daniel (Danny) Musqua, honourary Doctor of Laws degree recipient, is presented at Convocation ceremony held at Centennial Auditorium.

Bio/Historical Note: Daniel Noel Musqua (b. 1937) is of Saulteaux and Cree ancestry and is a member of the Bear Clan in the Saulteaux Keeseekoose First Nation in Saskatchewan. He earned top honours as an Elder of the Saulteaux Nation and sat on the Elders Council. Musqua’s first years of education were spent in a residential school. He then went on to high school in Lebret, Saskatchewan, where he attained a Grade XI education. Musqua continued on to complete a Recreational Technology course in Red Deer, Alberta. Musqua was lecturer and Elder-in-Residence with both the Indian Teacher Education Program and the Aboriginal Student Centre at the University of Saskatchewan. He received an honourary Doctor of Laws degree in 1995 from the U of S. Musqua retired from active public duties in 2014.
