General note
The Spring runoff of 1923 was especially vicious, washing out the Richmond Street culvert and bridge.The fish ladder was in place until the 1940s. The dam was completely removed in 2014-15 when a new spillway was constructed. Fairley Lake, a reservoir to supply steam engines.
