Frank Ashmore was from Birmingham, England and came to Indian Head in 1902, marrying Emily Cozens in 1906. Until 1948, he was a mail carrier; town councillor and owner/operator of Ideal Coal Co. > Black and White Coal Co. with his son, George. See Indian Head history book pp239-240.
