Bio/Historical Note: The Animal Husbandry / Veterinary Science building was an L-shaped gable roof framed building that was built in 1923. The Animal Husbandry Department moved offices in 1950 from the College Building and occupied the right (east) half of the building. This building was built north of the Engineering Building as a research barn for the study of swamp fever in horses, later moved to a site midway between the new College of Agriculture Building (1991) and the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. It was demolished in 1959 when the Department moved to the new Animal Husbandry Building. The name of the Department of Animal Husbandry changed to the Department of Animal Science in May 1962.
