Written in blue ink on a piece of paper stored with the photo: "This picture taken in 1913 or 1914 of C.E. Nyquist of Ruthilda, Sask. drilling a well on the C.N. rite of way in Dodsland, Sask. This well was to supply water for the steam locomotives on the rail road. with this machine they also drilled one of the first wells for the town of Biggar."
