Bio/Historical Note: Dr. E. Bruce Waygood came to Canada from the United Kingdom in 1963. He attended the University of Manitoba and obtained a BSc and MSc in Microbiology. Dr. Waygood earned a PhD in Medical Biophysics (1974) from the University of Toronto. He then went to Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland, before joining the Biochemistry Department at the University of Saskatchewan in 1977. Dr. Waygood retired in 2007. In the 2010s, he held a senior administrative position, University Coordinator of Health Research, with Provincial responsibilities for University of Regina and First Nations University of Canada in addition to the University of Saskatchewan.
