The Bell Farm, at first named the Qu'Appelle Valley Farming Company, organized and managed by Major William R. Bell, originally from Brockville, Ontario, was created in 1882 and included 53,000 acres of excellent farmland (see https://bellbarn.ca/bell-farm/history-bell/).
