Six magpie birds sitting along some tree branches, done by artist Geoffrey Baldwin Bodman.
Bio/Historical Note: Geoffrey Baldwin Bodman (1894-1993) entered the School of Agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan in 1913. He enlisted with the Royal Flying Corps. Bodman graduated with a BSA in 1919, winning the Governor General's gold medal. He was a professor in Division of Soils, University of California-Berkeley, 1927-1962, and president of the Soil Science Society, 1957-1958.
