Bio/Historical Note: Dr. Andy Hammermeister grew up on a mixed beef and grain farm in southeast Saskatchewan. He earned a BA in agriculture with a specialization in soil science from the University of Saskatchewan. He completed his MA in land reclamation and his PhD in applied ecology, both at the University of Alberta. Dr. Hammermeister is the director of the Organic Agriculture Centre of Canada (OACC) and an assistant professor in the Faculty of Agriculture at Dalhousie University (2021).
