Head and shoulders image of Dr. Allan A. Bailey, Department of Medicine, 1954-1967.
Bio/Historical Note: Dr. Allan Archibald Bailey was born in 1910 in Strathcona, Alberta. He attended the University of Toronto, where he received his MD in 1935, and did postgraduate work at the University of Minnesota, specializing in neurology and psychiatry. He served in the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps during World War II. After the war Dr. Bailey worked at the Mayo Clinic and the Ottawa Civic Hospital prior to joining the University of Saskatchewan in 1954. He was promoted to full professor in 1957, and became head of the Department of Medicine in 1962. Dr. Bailey died on 3 October 1967.
