Written in Arbos 1983: STF Memories, p. 21; "In 1909 Georgina McGill, a student at McMaster University, came west to visit her brother Jud at his farm near Stranraer. She stayed to teach for several months at Wynona school? built in 1907. Miss McGill taught fourteen students in this sodded frame schoolhouse." Skiing at Twin Towers in Stranraer, SK. With the possibility of hosting a part of the 1994 Saskatchewan Winter Games, the Twin Towers board raised money and put in a snow-making machine, water reservoir, pipes & storage areas.

A sign outside the Twin Towers ski resort declaring it a host venue to down hill skiing in the 1994 Saskatchewan Winter Games. The contestant warm-up tent (background) was rented for the occasion. The event was a success and a considerable tribute to all the volunteers who made it so.
