History

Stan Rowe was a professor of Plant Ecology at the University of Saskatchewan. A prominent Canadian ecologist, Rowe won the J.B. Harkin Conservation award in 1994 for his significant contribution to protecting Canada’s parks and wilderness areas. The Canadian Botanical Association established an award in his name, honouring his contribution as the first Chair of the Ecological Section of the Association.
