The fonds includes material documenting William Deverell’s career primarily as a writer and a lawyer. Among other material, included are research and drafts relating to most of his books and screenplays; other writing; documents re court cases, particularly those used as background for books and screenplays (including the CBC series Scales of Justice); records relating to The Writers Union of Canada; material relating to early activities including newspaper articles written by Deverell and clippings etc. relating to his election campaigns and trials he was involved in; videocassettes of his films Shellgame and Mindfield; correspondence with agents, publishers, producers, fans, etc., and other records relating to the publication and promotion of his books and films; and professional and personal correspondence with Carol Shields, Marian Engel, Margaret Atwood, Susan Musgrave, Stephen Reid and others.

This fonds consists of correspondence, research notes, drafts, and manuscripts relating to King's books: "A Book of Canadian Poems;" "A Book of Essays;" "Extending the Boundaries;" "The First Fifty;" "Saskatchewan: The Making of a University;" "Saskatchewan Harvest;" and "Three Stories by Joseph Conrad." Additionally, it includes King's articles, lectures, and addresses dealing primarily with Canadian literature. There is also material related to King's other interests: the career and works of G.B. Shaw and R.A. Wilson, provincial and national library associations, and pacifism.

This fonds contains correspondence from Reta Cowley, and John Hicks. The Cowley correspondence in part, discusses her painting process; and the Hicks correspondence discusses the Saskatchewan writing scene (particularly Prince Albert); his publications and awards, and his ideas about writing.

The first accession (2011-053) contains a scrapbook, art catalogues and theatre playbill programs.
The second accession (2016-147) is a record of Calder’s activities in three areas: personal life and career as student and faculty member, career as an internationally published author, and contributions to the Saskatchewan writing community.

The fonds, related to Robert Anderson, were accumulated by the source. No other information was captured at the time of transfer to the Swift Current Museum.

The fonds contains personal and professional correspondence, worksheets and drafts of poetic, dramatic and prose works, speeches and addresses to student and service groups and audiovisual materials relating to interviews, readings, etc., as they pertain to Story's career as a journalist, teacher and writer.

This fonds contains personal and research files on various topics, including a study of the Clwydian Range in North Wales, petrology, mineralogy, soil composition, oil and gas, sodium sulphate and soil mapping. In addition, there are a considerable number of area studies for Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and specifically the Lloydminister area, as well as 75 research reports done for private companies. There are also articles on poetry and the theatre - two of Professor Edmunds's personal interests.

This fonds contains material related to the writings of J. Jill Robinson including works complete and incomplete, published and unpublished. This fonds also contains material related to professional activities such as editing, readings, and interaction with publishers and other writers.

This collection contains materials created by, or about, Canadian author Robertson Davies (1913-1995). Davies was editor of Saturday Night and the Peterborough Examiner prior to joining Trinity College, University of Toronto as professor of literature. The author of numerous plays and books, Davies is perhaps best known for The Salterton trilogy and the Deptford trilogy. He received both the Stephen Leacock medal for humour and the Governor General's Award for fiction. Some of the material in this collection has been annotated by Davies, including copies of two draft manuscripts which are inscribed "to Maisie." "Maisie" is believed to be Davies' sister-in-law, Maisie Newbold (1915-2001), who was married first (in 1946) to the Australian painter Peter Purves Smith (1912-1949) and later (in 1964), to their friend and fellow artist, Russell Drysdale (1912-1981). The collection also includes souvenir coins and tokens from across Western Canada.
