This collection contains mostly textual materials related to Cecil King’s work in Aboriginal Education. His papers, translation work, speaking notes, and teaching materials are included, as are significant documents from his committee work. The collection includes a number of important documents surrounding the aboriginal education work done by such institutions as the University of Saskatchewan, Queens University, the Indian and Northern Education Program, the Indian Teachers Education Program, the Northern Teachers Education Program, the Saskatchewan Urban Native Teachers Education Program, the First Nations University of Canada (formerly SIFC), the Gabriel Dumont Institute, the Saskatchewan Indigenous Cultural Centre, and more. The history of troubles at the First Nations University of Canada is tracked through nearly-daily news reports collected by King from 2005-2010. King also extensively collected materials on Aboriginal Education, language, and general matters of indigenous interest..

This fonds contains material relating to the research work, students, faculty and administration of the College of Arts and Sciences, and its departments. These records generally contain correspondence, minutes, reports, and memoranda; they may also contain material relating to associated national or international organizations, research articles, and addresses.

This fonds contains: photo albums, reports, student surveys, and pamphlets relating to summer French immersion programs offered by the College of Education; VHS tapes documenting the twenty-fifth anniversary of French immersion in Saskatoon and French educational tapes; and reports, surveys, correspondence and publications relating to the French Education Program.

The fonds includes records relating to teaching, research and administration in the Department of French (to 1964), Department of French and Spanish (1964-1989), and Department of French (from 1989). In addition to records relating to a variety of committees, activities, etc., the fonds predominantly documents the summer language program at Trois Rivi?res and the department's Language Laboratory.

The fonds consists of 4 small notebooks created and used by Rev. Frederick A. Clare, during his time as an ordained minister: a diary (1937); a notebook (1940-1942); pocket record book (1933-1946), with information about church officers, communion services, members, baptisms, marriages, and burials for various Saskatchewan locations; and a notebook recording translations of 421 English words into Cree and/or Salteaux, as well as financial accounts information and additional notes.

The Li Collection is comprised of 10 volumes containing stories in Dene collected in northern Alberta in 1928 by linguist Fanggui Li. Recorded in the field, these texts consist of phonetic transcriptions of stories elicited from Francois Mandeville and Baptiste Ferrier, with interlinear English translations.

This fonds consists of material relating to Ridgway's military service, his scholarly research concerning the work of Voltaire and Chamfort particularly, his career with the University of Saskatchewan, and his work on internal university committees, professional associations, external agencies (such as Canadian University Service Overseas and the Saskatoon Symphony Board), as well as materials relating to his classes and lectures.

This fonds contains correspondence, newsletters, clippings, sound recordings, books, reprints, maps, periodicals, calendars, almanacs, and notes pertaining to the activities and interests of V.O. Buyniak during his career at the University of Saskatchewan. Though the material covers a broad spectrum of topics over several decades, the bulk of the material deals with aspects of Slavic language and culture.
