History

Jean Jones was born in 1928 to Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Mooney. Jean entered the world in the middle of a crisis; she was born during a fire in a nursing home above the National Cafe in Star City, Saskatchewan. Jean's mother, Mrs. Mooney, passed away at a very young age and later Edgar remarried Mildred. Jean had seven siblings: Russell, Dorothy, Vernon, Gail Wade, Noreen, David, and Nancy. In 1943 Jean married Clifford Jones who was also from the Star City area. Together they farmed outside of Star City and later they moved into town.
