This collection contains research notes, diaries, and printed material dealing with entomology (in particular, the study of midges), bonsai, and the classification of birds. The photographic material includes subjects relating to Saunder's research; views from his extensive travels (including Egypt [1932]; Ceylon [1932]; Brazil [1923]; Hong Kong and the Far East [1932]; and North America, particularly Emma Lake [1939-1943].

Fonds is a collection of photographs in four separate albums dating between 1907 and 1963 that pertain to the lives of students and staff at the Lebret (Qu’Appelle) Indian Industrial Residential School which was operated by the Roman Catholic Church (Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate and the Grey Nuns) from 1884 until 1973.

As such, the collection represents a good sample of materials which document Saskatoon at a specific time; and in particular documents the inner city area near King George school, and the school's teachers, students, and activities.
