This collection primarily consists of Laycock's addresses and articles. Among the many topics covered in this material are child and adolescent development, mental health, parent-teacher cooperation, exceptional children, and penal reform. Additionally, it contains some biographical information, including a taped interview (1970) and the article, "My Work in the Mental Health Field, 1940-1970."

The Women's Institute subseries contains correspondence, reports, minutes, publications and other records (1971-1986). Included are submissions to the Institute's creative writing competition (1975-1981).

Some of the correspondence relates to the implementation of Medicare in Saskatchewan and the doctor’s strike. The fonds also includes files relating to Dr. Bailey's work with the Canadian Neurological Society and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. It also includes minutes and memorandums from the Department of Medicine and the Laboratory and X-Ray Committee of the University Hospital.

In addition, there is considerable information relating to Quance's publications, his speeches and articles, particularly on spellers, spelling, teacher's manuals, and examinations. It also contains information on Knox United Church in Saskatoon.

The fonds contains both color and black and white photographs as well as color slides. All of the images are of events and locations in Melfort, Saskatchewan. The images all belonged to William McCosh's personal collection.
The fonds contains seven colour photographs taken during Melfort, Saskatchewan's 1980 "Melfort Reunion, Celebrate Saskatchewan 1905-1980" events. Subjects include the stage at the Melfort Agricultural Society grounds and community organization floats in the parade, and feature a number of Melfort city councillors serving during 1980.
